Aco

20 year old Chicago-native artist and producer, Aleks Dupor, creates ambient and experimental electronic music under the monicker, "Aco." He began producing music at the age of 18 when he got FL studio after attending music festivals. Music festivals are the reason he got into making music, but he fell in love with the process of music production, rather than the aspect of DJ'ing festivals and shows. At the time, the music he made was heavily influenced by more mainstream house music, but as he developed his production skills, he ventured into the depths of more wonky, experimental and ambient music production. At the start of 2020, he was inspired to create his Debut EP, Elements. Born out of his exploration of experimental electronic music production, the project was made to act as a foundation for all his future projects. He wanted to set a bar of what listeners should expect, instrumentally, from his music moving forward. After the release of his EP in mid August, he plans to collaborate with more artists and producers and even vocalists. His influences range from Future Bass and Vapor Twitch producers like Flume, Quiet Bison, and What so Not to Deep and Lo-Fi House music and even more ambient and eccentric electronic music from the likes of Aphex Twin, Burial, Tycho, and Four Tet. Post-Ep, He plans to work more with other artists and producers to expand his discography and sound.
