Bio
Aksel Henderson discovered the world of digital audio and recording in 2005 . Although a classical/jazz musician, he sought a way to expand his musicality by creating his own compositions. While studying music in college Aksel produced works such as Be My Emotion EP (2009), in addition to Antagonistic Behavior EP (2010). When Aksel wasn't in the studio he bettered his talents through collaborating and performing with musicians spanning from several states across the region including: Colorado, Florida, Kansas, and Nebraska. From band nerd to producer, Aksel has been able to utilize and build upon his classical training and well nurtured hip-hop roots. When 2012 arrived, transitioning into the field of being a DJ proved to be a natural path to pursue.
Currently Aksel is expanding himself through turntablism, live remix and electronic shows
while residing in Wichita, KS. Alongside performing Aksel keeps listeners engaged with his
daily BEATDOWN series. With this skill set he's hoping to merge elements of the underground
scene, modern technology, and classical training to create a unique music experience for
audiences of all backgrounds and experiences to enjoy.
