two years ago, a film maker set up shop in the recordBar for 72 hours, recording three nights of live music and three days of interviews with local musicians.
the resulting film, 72 musicians, just premiered in kc at the screenland theater. the footage is funny, moving, depressing and inspiring and the music is, of course, phenomenal.
currently on the festival route, it's slated for dvd release later this year. it will be worth whatever they charge for it.
please visit the film's website at 72musicians.com to watch the trailer, get more information and to make a much needed donation.
ps ruby and providence both get a couple of seconds of screen time!
