alacartoona

from the very first day of 2009, when she was awarded her inspiration grant, to her final show of the year just over a week ago, alacartoona has been rushing forward with little time to rest or reflect.  monthly shows at jardine's; bi-monthly shows at californo's; private and public gigs throughout the city; a full-lenth movie shot, edited and released; a full-length play written, produced and staged--these are the products of her industry.

and now, alacartoona has entered a much-needed period of calm contemplation, of experimentation, of writing and thinking, of exploring and learning.  there is much to be done in 2010--music to record, tours to plan, more plays to stage--but for now, right now, reflection is the goal and the vehicle.
