Travis Scores Video Game

Posted By from December 16, 2009

Our friend and drummer, Travis Abel [Official, Facebook] has been doing some cool side projects lately. He just finished scoring a video game called “Attack of the 50ft Robot!” from Uphill Games [Official, Youtube] and I wanted to take a moment to share a clip of that with you.

How sweet is that? I think Travis did a really fantastic job of capturing the 1950’s B-movie vibe of the visuals and was stoked to see that Marco Martinez from Gamespot felt the same way. While Marco’s review predominantly centers around the graphics and gameplay, he had this to say about Travis’ work:

The soundtrack that accompanies your destruction adds a beautiful aesthetic to the game and constantly changes as you progress through the story.

If you’d like to to hear more of Travis’ music, download “Attack of the 50ft Robot!” It’s free and you can grab a copy at attackofthe50ftrobot.com.

Hope this finds you feeling healthy!

P.S. If you still have those 3-D glasses from the super bowl kicking around, here’s an anaglyph version of the trailer for you courtesy of Youtube user ericzlink.

Take that, Avatar!
