Turn it up and rip the knob off!
Formed in 2018, Vinyl Orbit founder and front man Matt Barnes, set out to create music that stays with you wherever you go. Matt, former lead guitarist for alternative rock band, Within Reason, is determined to establish himself not only a seasoned guitar player, but also as a singer/songwriter.
Influenced by The Eagles, Foo Fighters, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and John Mayer (just to name a few), Matt writes and performs with his idols at heart.
“Since I was a kid I've always been drawn to music. I feel as though I owe a great deal to Micheal J. Fox, when he slid across the stage playing Chuck Berry’s version of Johnny B. Goode! I’m sure I’m not the only one on this planet who plays guitar because of that infamous prom scene!”
The first Vinyl Orbit album was written and performed by Matt with producer engineer Josh Bright and recorded at both Bright Studios in Boaz, Alabama as well as Saxman Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

Vinyl Orbit, isn't about reinventing the musical wheel. Vinyl Orbit is new tread on musical tires. What you will hear from this band are contrasting harmonies, blended guitars, and infectious drums that will undeniably urge you to tap your foot and sing along. These are songs that say what you were thinking, but didn’t have the courage to say; songs with no regrets; songs about, love, life, freedom, and seizing every last moment in each and every day!

Vinyl Orbit's first single, "Before You're Golden" released October 16th, 2018. They have since released two additional singles and released their first EP, world wide, April 4th, 2019.
