Birthright Blues Project was founded in 2005 by Diamond Jack Holdsworth. the band has since gone through multiple personnel changes. BBP now consists of Guitarist/Vocalist Diamond Jack, his wife Elan as bass player and their son Wade "D.R. Diamond" on Drums and Vocals.
The band is based out of Sulphur Springs, Texas and been playing shows in the area for years. For the past few years Birthright Blues Project has been rehired to play at the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena, Arkansas, as well as the Bois D'arc Bash in Commerce, Texas.
BBP plays Texas Blues-Rock that is highly amplified. They draw influences from the original wave of Electric Blues like Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf as well as other Texas Blues acts such as ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Vaughn And Double Trouble.
