"Blueboy – 6pc (EP)"

THA REALEST lyricist you never heard but is waiting to hear, Blueboy drops off his “6pc” Ep Take a listen below: - SayCheeseTV

"[New Music] Texas Rapper Blueboy Makes Impact with EP Titled '6pc'"

Blueboy’s a man of few words (unless he’s rapping) and a lot of action. He keeps it real at all times and that’s the only type of people he will align himself with. He is THA REALEST lyricist you never heard but is waiting to hear!

His style is best described as a lyrical storyteller that invokes thought and incites crowds with substance filled songs that deal with real life emotions, thoughts, and dreams. He first started rapping during the summer break between 8th and 9th grade after breaking his leg and not knowing if he was going to be able to play football. He was born in Hiram Clarke (Houston, TX) in October ’82, where he was the youngest of 5 and lived for 8 years, but after personal hardship he moved to Galveston, TX in Dec.ember ’90.

After graduating from Ball High School in 2001, he moved back to Houston and enrolled at Texas Southern University where he majored in Electronic Engineering from 2001-2004. Working a regular job was fine for the time but he wanted and still wants so much more for himself and his daughter.

The living check to check thing wasn’t cutting it anymore so shortly after she was born in ’04, he started back writing and recording new songs with a more defined sense of direction and greater desire to become the greatest rapper ever. And before it’s all said and done Blueboy will be.

Blueboy’s EP titled ‘6pc’ has tracks that you can sit back and vibe to in the car, club, or crib. His flow is remarkable, reminiscent of the early 2000’s artist Slim Thug. ‘Tha City Is Mine’ is a confident track that lets everyone know that Blueboy has the city on lock! You will not be disappointed listening to this remarkable track list.

"Stream Blueboy’s ‘6pc’ EP [@Blueboy53]"

The strange thing about Blueboy is that he’s a straight-forward, grizzled rapper. And in a world where straight-forward, grizzled rappers are pretty much tossed aside because they don’t take risks to leap off the page, Blueboy is an outlier. Calling him new would be a misnomer for a number of reasons as he’s easily taken the route of serious rapper to heights some of his peers haven’t climbed towards. Selling music on iTunes is a rather big deal. Blueboy, through a baritone that’s the vocal equivalent of a shoutgun blast through a wall exhibits the kind of tough talk some Fifth Ward old heads would appreciate on his latest EP.

6Pc features the rappers breakthrough single from a couple years ago, “Tool Up” with a beat that sounds tailor made for mixtape singles from the mid 2000s and more. Kicking drums, menacing bass line and gun blams for ad-libs. “Bigger the bang, wider the wounds,” Blueboy spits on “Tool Up”. It’s the second arc of 6PC but it pretty much is the crest of the whole project. If there’s no stronger moment of tough talk and Blueboy being a general of a different breed, time and maybe era – “Tool Up” is it. “See About It” carries similar momentum with a seedy Lil Jon vocal chase, piano notes fit for a horror movie and threats towards faceless individuals. 6Pc isn’t about Blueboy’s struggles or gripes with the world, its his gripes with people who get on his nerves and probably could get punched in the neck. Stream Blueboy’s 6PC below and purchase it on iTunes. - Day and A Dream

"The Hype Magazine Interviews Blueboy"

Who is Blueboy, and where are you from?

I'm from Houston, Texas and I'm just a real dude...a man of action and few words.

How did you discover your musical talent?

I always had a passion for music and I knew my musical talent was better than what I was hearing on the radio so I decided to let the rest of the world hear. This is something that I already knew.

Who has been your greatest inspirations musically and why?

2 Pac, his energy, rawness and realness just made every song come alive.

What do you feel you offer the music industry that we don't already have in other performers?

I offer the industry a real southern lyricist with substance.

Have you encountered any problems in getting to this point in your career?

Of course, there's gonna be bumps in the road but nothing I couldn't navigate through.

What do you want people get from your music?

I want them to get me, my thoughts, views and emotions.

When can we expect some new music from you?

You can expect new music soon. My new single "Tool Up" should be dropping in the next couple of weeks.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?

My fans are my greatest achievement. Because of them, my single "See About It" rose as high as #131 on the urban charts.

If you could collaborate with one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

2 Pac. He's the G.O.A.T. and my favorite artist of all time, so a collaboration with him would've been dope.

One track of yours that you think defines you and why?

It's hard to just name one, all of my records embody some aspect of myself and life.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know...What's your CRAZIEST "Where they do that at?!" moment...

Using my name or some form of it to gain hood fame....Where they do that at? - The Hype Magazine

"The Hype Magazine Interview w/Blueboy"

Who is Blueboy and where are you from?

Well I'm from Houston, Texas and I'm just a real dude...a man of action and few words...unless we talking music or sports.

How did you discover your musical talent?

I always wanted to be in the music business but I didn't know if I wanted to be behind the scenes or in front holding the mic. I just finally decided that in order for me to take care of my family I had to let the artist within out.

Who has been your greatest inspirations musically and why?

2 Pac...becausehe was just so real and raw.

What do you feel you offer the music industry that we don't already have in other performers?

A real southern lyricist with substance.

Have you encountered any problems in getting to this point in your career?

Of there's gonna be bumps in the road but anything worth having is worth fighting for...success without struggle is not success

What do you want people get from your music?

I want them to get me...my thought, views and emotions

When can we expect some new music from you?

My single "See About It" is out right now and available for download everywhere and the mixtape should be later this summer.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?

Really gaining fans is my greatest achievement, no greater feeling than people loving your musical creations...and other than that I would say having my single "See About It" ranked as high as #131 on the urban charts.

If you could collaborate with one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

2 Pac... I know we would make a classic record.

One track of yours that you think defines you and why?

"See About It"...because I'm a frontline dude that don't start shit and won't run from either.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know...What's your CRAZIEST "Where they do that at?!" moment...

Umm...probably all these scammers and janky promoters and the lengths they'll go to try to scam artists out of their money.

"Blueboy Interview"

Firstly thanks for taking time to do this exclusive interview for www.HipHop4Days.com. Let’s start at the beginning. How did you get into making music and when would you say your career started?
I would say my career first started after I broke my leg in the 8th grade then died down for awhile then I got back at it about 6yrs and music was always in me, I just didn't know if I wanted to be in front or behind the scene.

From when you started to now, what you consider being your biggest tracks or releases?
My current single "No Kin of Mine" is the biggest thus far.

How would you describe the music that you make?
My style is best describe as a lyrical storyteller that invokes thought and incites crowds with substance filled songs that deal with real life emotions, thoughts, and dreams.

Have you done many collaborations, if so who have you worked with and what was your most memorable experience?
Nawl I haven’t done that many features as of yet...at least none that have been released yet.

Hip-Hop is changing all the time. How do you feel about Hip-Hop in 2010, who are you feeling and how is the game treating you?Well I’m still jamming 2 Pac, Scarface, Bun B, Z-Ro and Beanie Sigel mostly and a lot of the music out now is because of the dance song trend but that’s about to die out...the game is treating me like it treats everybody else, u got to keep working & progressing and the cream will rise to the top.

Tell me about the label you’re with, even if it’s your own label. Tell us who is involved and how many people behind the scenes are helping you?
Well as of now I’m unsigned and mostly doing everything by myself but I got the hustle of a major.

The music industry is changing from CD’s & Vinyl over to MP3, stores are getting closed and on-line shops are starting up. Do you think CD’s are dead or do you think it depends on the genre & artist?
Nawl cd's aint dead it just depends on the genre & artist cuz not all fans are buying off the internet.

So where are you from exactly and have you ever done any local gigs?
I’m from Houston, TX originally but moved to Galveston, TX when I was 8 and moved back to Houston when I was 18 so I rep Houston but the hood is 53rd Oleander Homes in Galveston and yea I've done plenty of local gigs.

Have you done any big gigs or played live with any big artists? If so tell us what is was like and what playing live means to you.
Well every show is big to me cuz I appreciate everybody that came out and it don’t really matter who I’m sharing the stage wit that particular night I try to own the stage when I’m performing, no matter whether I go first or last.

Hip-Hop is sometime viewed as negative music and in the media often gets a raw deal. Do you think that Hip-Hop should be more positive and that artists have a responsibility to the youth?
Hip Hop is a reflection of reality and if the media thinks its negative well maybe they should try living in poverty & pain and barely having the essentials to live for the most part but parents that really are parents always finding a way to provide and never letting their kids know how bad their situations really are cuz mommy and/or daddy always made something outta nothing, then tell me what kind of story they would have...artist have a responsibility to be a positive role model to their kids and teach them right from wrong but I don’t see how you can expect an artist to raise your kids, that's your job.
