Bois D'arc Red was formed in Fannin County, Texas just south of the Red River and northwest of Bois D'arc Lake. Right smack dab in the middle of no where. A place surrounded by Bois D'arc Trees, Cedar Valleys, rivers and glimmering lakes sharing bright starlit Texas nights and beautiful Texas sunrises. An uninterrupted place in time that one could refer to as “Bois D'arc Country”.
By developing that backwoods rhythm guitar style and structure (Matt Foreman), driven by that deep flowing upright bass (Joey Bideler), those wildly captivating lead tones and rides (Jeff Sterzer), a hard hitting drum backbone (Mike Cochran) and finally a familiar but unique smooth melody driven country vocal (E.J. Miller). This hodgepodge of local talent has a broad spectrum of influences ranging from Gospel, Texas Country, Outlaw Country, Honky Tonk and Chicken Picking. All the way to Rock, Southern Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Alternative, and even Heavy Metal.
Bois D'arc Red offers a sound with old and new roots, delivering epic highs and deep lows that can and is certain to entertain any crowd
