Brent Lang

Brent "Brentney T. Nicholas" Lang was born on August 3, 1989
in Los Angeles, California. At a young age Brent knew she wanted to sing, in
school she took a liking to reading, writing, and drawing.  Although Brent
was very bright, she faced many obstacles.  At the age of fourteen Brent relocated from
Victorville, CA and started a new life in Compton, CA with her father Bnick.
Living in Compton with her father influenced Brent’s music lyrics, she always
had a love for music as she started songwriting at the age of twelve and
started recording at the age of fifteen.  She was also influenced by the
music of  Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Lauren
Hill, Nate Dogg, and the late Amy Winehouse. After completing high school in
2008, Brent found work as a Tattoo Artist. At age nineteen Brent and a few
friends rented a house together and started an independent label which was ran
in Carson, Ca. In 2012 Brent made audition for the hit T.V. show X Factor where
she  made it to the 2nd round of the
show. The next year she went onto perform at The famous R&B Live showcase
in Ventura, CA . She went onto relocated to North Hollywood, CA where she was finally
connected with the likes of now manager Dontae' Ivory & Mogul Freeway Ricky
Ross, to take her overall career to the next level, with many comparisons to
the legendary Erykah Badu, Brent is here to bring her new soulful sound to the
music industry

Life was not pretty for her, Brent had many obstacles in the last 2 years.  After finally getting connected with Freeway Rick Ross and a long time of dreaming, she is hear to bring her hood/soulful sound to life. Writing her life for you to listen. Stay tuned.....
