Bio

With his craft of refreshing melodies and sing-along lyrics, Daniel B. Marshalls music welcomes you to dance in the sunshine, to repair your broken heart, and to lift your head up. Listeners can easily find themselves in his songs of everyday love, summertime fun, self-inflicted heartbreak, and tough times. Daniel's music combines the transparency and simplicity of great folk lyrics with his own blend of modern country songwriting with a sense of style from rock. From his summer anthems to heartbreak confessions, his positive outlook throughout all of life's stages is contagious. While holding true to his musical roots, Daniel B. manages to create a universal, accessible sound for his simple goal of being a "songbird for everyone."

The music that he has created through the years has a certain multi-genre quality to it that's hard to label at times. Daniel had a wide-array of musical influences from his dad listening to Alan Jackson and George Strait to his mother's passion for folk records like James Taylor and Bob Dylan. Daniel learned to find the link between all these wonderful styles: lyrics and melody coupled with fantastic musicianship. Picking up R&B from his vocal training days, he tries to blend all the soulful elements from each style and make something new.

The Florida native first became serious about pursuing a career as a solo artist in music during high school after his first attempt at a collaborative band named His Prophecy in high school sowed the seed. After playing at events around the nation in college under the moniker The Daniel B. Marshall Band, he landed a high-profile gig playing guitar for Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. After a national press and world tour, he traveled playing guitar alongside young country sensation Lyric Street Records star Ashley Gearing in support of her first radio tour across America.  Daniel B. has shared the stage with some of today's hottest and brightest stars, performing on the same bill as Phil Vassar, Gwen Stefani, Norah Jones, Kid Rock, Slightly Stoopid, Celine Dion, LeAnn Rimes, Tonic, Sister Hazel, Jeffrey Steel, Andy Grammer, Pat Green and many others. In addition, he has paved the way around the southeast as an artist in his own right, all the while finding the time to produce records for country singer Becca Rae and Tampa musician Keko as well as his own.

Daniel recently teamed with his childhood friend and multi-instrumentalist producer Danny Rader (Keith Urban, Jason Aldean) to record his current album titled "Sunshine." The album has familiar country themes found in songs such as Sunshine, "Your Best Friend," and "The Good Ones," while Daniels unique blends of acoustic songwriting and themes of loves ebb and flow  can be found in "Just You and Me," "Missing You is Wrong" and "All of the Things."

Daniel is currently playing over 250 shows a year, including prominent events such as Gasparilla, in his hometown of Tampa, FL while spending a large portion of time in Nashville, TN working with the larger writing and musical community. In addition to managing his busy performance schedule, Daniel is once again taking the producing reigns of his own self-titled album with eminent musicians Johnny Duke, Seth Rausch, & John Thomasson (Little Big Town) joining the fray of guests.

Daniel B. will be a force in the music industry in all aspects for years to come. He says he hopes to share in the tradition of making songs that people will work into their life's soundtrack during the good and bad times, "just like I did with my favorite tunes when I was growing up."
