"Big Debut for a Big Voice"

And then I heard the voice – big, edgy and filled with emotion, the way Bob Seger might sound if he did bluegrass instead of rock and roll. I followed the sound and had my first encounter with it’s lead singer, Dave Adkins. - Bluegrass Today

"think Chris Stapleton"

Single review of Dave Adkins' original song "Pike Country Jail" ....Adkins’ big voice – think Chris Stapleton – serves the song well. - Bluegrass Today

"One Critic's Picks: The Best of 2014"

Dave Adkins – Nothing to Lose Pike County Jail has been on the charts for months, but there’s a lot more to this record than the single. Adkins has the biggest voice in bluegrass now that Chris Stapleton isn’t touring, and he uses it with great impact here. - Bluegrass Today

"Voice as big as the western sky"

..with a voice as big as the western sky and a delivery that matches his burly frame. But since his first appearance as a member of Republic Steele, Dave has developed a fine control of the power at his disposal, turning the full barrage loose only rarely, to very positive effect. - Bluegrass Today

"Warmth and authentcity"

Adkins “voice finds just the right nuance for each song, treating each as a unique musical portrait. His trustworthy vocals frame each with warmth and authenticity.” - Parcbench

"One of those voices that simply cannot be ignored"

Dave Adkins has one of those voices that simply cannot be ignored. He sings with his heart in his throat and his feelings on his mind. Written by Adkins, “Pike County Jail” is a straightforward song, uncluttered and heartfelt — a shining example of classic bluegrass form. Making good music matters to Adkins and, like the vocals of the man at the microphone, the song delivers an experience that is fulfilling, but not so satisfying that you don’t want a whole lot more — so here’s to looking forward to what Adkins accomplishes. - Parcbench

"Dynamic Entertainer - both on stage and off"

“Dave Adkins is a class act in every way. Not only are he and his band putting out some of the best bluegrass you'll hear, they are a true pleasure to work with too! The band recently played our annual Chantilly Farm Bluegrass Fest and to say they were a crowd pleaser is an understatement. You'll be hard pressed to find a more dynamic entertainer, both on stage and off. Dave treats each and every one of his fans like they're old friends. One thing is for sure, this band is just getting started and we look for big things from Dave Adkins in the years to come.”
