"Love Changes"

Singer Donnell Isaac is currently promoting his upcoming album "Love Changes." The album features the title track as its big single for release, which was written by the late Skip Scarborough, which is being promoted as a tune that reflects the power of love. Donnell Isaac says that the song was inspired by his wife. Isaac feels that those who have people who believe in them are more likely to succeed and go far in life. "Love is all about making the sacrifices one needs to make to help people see their goals all the way through. It is about knowing that love will always be there. - Hip Hop Weekly

"First Listen: Donnell Isaac knows those "Love Changes""

(February 5, 2018) -- “Love Changes” was one of those slow jams that drew couples to the floor back in the 1970s and it became a staple of Quiet Storm radio formats in the 1980s. The tune featured the power packed vocals on Joyce “Baby Jean” Kennedy, and a lot of people thought they were hearing Chaka Khan.

“Love Changes” doesn’t get a lot of play even on old school formats, but Portsmouth, Va. native and Greensboro, N.C. resident Donnell Isaac brings his own unique take to this classic track that will be included on his upcoming record. The tune matches his husky and rangy baritone that was first heard in the Pentecostal church of his youth and has performed everything from gospel, to inspirational anthems to classic R&B. It’s a winner and makes us look forward to hearing more. Check it out. - Soul Tracks

MBB: How did you come up with the idea for this song? Does it have a double meaning?
DONNELL: The idea for love changes was simple. I had an idea to write about my experience in marriage and how love change my life. So it made since for me to reach back and cover the late Skip Scarborough song Love Changes. So I wrote to his publisher and now you have my version..

MBB: Who produced the track? Did you pick from a beat selection or was it tailor made for you?
DONNELL: Love Changes was produce by Jermaine “JayNew” Newsome and Mushran “Mooshmillionz” Johnson. The F.E.E.L. Production of Portsmouth Virginia. Yes my version of love changes was tailored for my style and sound.

DONNELL: When I was 8 Years old I knew I want to be a professional singer songwriter.
MBB: How long have you been performing and what is the largest crowd you have played for?
DONNELL: I have been performing since I was about 6 years old. I started out singing in the church. And different community choirs/ groups. The largest crowd I performed for was The International Music Festival in Nashville, TN over 100,000 (Tennessee State Fairgrounds) in early 2000’s

MBB: Which other artists would you most like to work with and why?
DONNELL: My dream is to work with Angie Stone and Anthony Hamilton. They bring real life changing messages to their music. Music you can take with you for a life time.

"Donnell Isaac"

(September 22, 2017) Donnell Isaac’s ballad “Loving You” is explicit, but not in the way that contemporary culture usually uses the word. Listeners won’t find Isaac using his husky voice to describe his bedroom exploits or to liken his woman to various models of motorized vehicles.

On “Loving You” Isaac is explicit about the depth of his love and devotion for the woman in his life. And this particular woman is not a hypothetical or imagined girl of his dreams. Rather, Isaac sings about his wife. “It is a song that expresses the core of my heart. It explains why I love my wife so much.” At a time when expressions of true and lasting love between husband and wife can be viewed as corny, such a flat-footed declaration of love once again proves that there is indeed no school like the old school. Give it a listen.
