Brilliant and searching, elegant and raw, DREW is on a journey towards an uncompromising relationship with the truth.
In the summer of 2009 Drew faced a reckoning. In the midst of her despair she discovered poetry, melodies and a compelling voice that she'd never heard before. This new creative force was her own, so Drew obliged her muse and began to write and sing her songs.
Back in the day as an aspiring A&R executive, Drew met an up-and-coming artist whom we now know as the inimitable Ms. Lauryn Hill. In the fall of 2009, Drew shared her first original song with her longtime friend, and Lauryn convinced Drew to keep singing and writing ... and to start recording.
Drew's arresting debut album The Other Side features ten of the songs that she's written since that fateful conversation.
In her grief Drew clamored for something to hang onto and discovered her songs and her voice. In her music you will find ethereal beauty and strength, unflinching vulnerability and perhaps something that you too, can hold onto.
