"Streaming Thoughts of Conciousness"

"Driven's music is almost a marriage of grunge and contemporary radio hard rock. It's got the commercial appeal that might apply to many people, but it's the creative differences that really make their music sound out. I would describe it as almost a progressive rock (think Pink Floyd) but way heavier and darker. Perfect bar music for a late 20's age group—but anyone can enjoy it[...] If you haven't already heard Driven, I recommend that you check them out. Not only have they already proved themselves around Michiana, but they seem to be growing, and will definitely be a force to be reckoned with after their new album comes out. Bertles assured that checking them out will be worth your time. - Mandi Steffey

"Blogger Chicago"

"With a subtle intro luring the audience to ready their senses for their performance, this trio attacked the stage and its audience with a powerful punch of hardcore guitar sound, energetic momentum and cut-throat rock edginess wrapped around dynamic vocals. Driven didn't have to do much to engage everyone with their music since it was the music doing most of the talking for them, blogspot readers. And did they ever work that stage hard thus wasting no time in giving us what we came for ...a good rock show[...] [A]fter hearing songs like Awaken and Requiem (both can be found Driven's current CD Abstract(ion)), his voice charmed that mic. It naturally highlighted him being emotional expressive of pain and angst heard in the lyrics against the riveting bursts of riffs and thunderous rhythms. Sometimes he projected a low rumbling vocal tone to surround you within a haunting atmosphere meanwhile during another, it was spewing heated spite." - SouthSide Tanya Vega

"Mike Deak"

"[...]Continuing the motion were South Bend’s Driven, a three-piece outfit that sounded like a whole lot more than just three guys throwing down. Having shared the stage with dozens of national acts including Sevendust, Nonpoint, Hinder, 10 Years and Saliva, Driven is no stranger to commanding attention on the big stage. Riding off the steam of its 2012 release, “Abstract(ion)”, the song “Awaken” got the biggest rise out of the crowd. - Mike Deak, Stacey Page Online

Bio

Forming in 2006, Driven made steady strides and substantial impact in the Midwest. Shortly after formation, they consistently shared the stage with several national acts and their music aired on local radio programming, 103.9 The Bear, several times. In 2011, the trio recorded at the illustrious studio Electrical Audio, owned and operated by Steve Albini in Chicago, IL; the record "Abstract(ion)" was engineered by Greg Norman (Pelican, Russian Circles).  Driven continues to pack venues in their hometown and open for incoming nationals, such as 10 Years, 3 Days Grace, Nonpoint, Red, and many others. In early 2014, the band raised $3,500 in 19 days on Kickstarter.com in order to participate in SXSW 2014 and are currently producing a new album, set to release in May/June of 2014.
