Hi Folks Saturday night (28th Nov) saw Dumfries host the ‘Scots Trad Music Awards 2009’. I was really proud to have the awards come to my home area, the venue was packed and I was particularly chuffed to perform two songs (Silver Tassie and Butterfly).  Well done to all who won an award but also to the other nominees and everyone who works hard year round to promote, perform and sustain the Scottish music scene. The awards show will be televised tonight on BBC ALBA at 10pm and repeated on Fri 4th December at 11.30pm. BBC ALBA is not yet available on freeview (in fact the BBC Trust is carrying out a review to assess the interest in BBC ALBA being carried on freeview) so to watch it I think you need to have Sky or watch again on BBC iPlayer.
