"Feels Like Home"

In 2003, guitarist Mike DeMellia was playing bass and wearing a Saves The Day shirt
in a Boston-area All-City Jazz Band when he met vocalist/guitarist Matt DiPietro (clad
in a Blink-182 tee) and drummer Dave Belmont. But Feels Like Home didn’t get serious
about their music until 2008, when they added bassist Andy Talbot and began building a
following for their muscular pop. When DiPietro had to finish school in Austin, Texas, the
band members left Boston and followed their buddy—and for good reason. “Our hopes
and dreams are to eventually get picked up by a label so we can play for a long time,”
says DeMellia. “We aren’t giving up until we accomplish that.” [JP] - Alternative Press Magazine

Bio

Feels Like Home was first brought together in 2003 when Matt, Mike, and Dave were only in grade school. Since 2004, it has been these three guys who have been the core of the band. A few years later, Andy came into the picture and made them what they are today. Having competed in the Berklee High School Battle of the Bands as well as Emergenza in Boston, they picked up a huge following.

Playing at many well known venues such as The Middle East, The Paradise, and Church of Boston, they knew they had something special on their hands. After spending the summer of 2011 gigging around the Boston area, they moved down to Austin, TX, to play out and record full time.

In the spring of 2012, Feels Like Home released their first Self-Titled EP. It is available on iTunes and other online stores for digital download. This EP was recorded at their home studio in Austin, and was engineered and produced by Dave, Feels Like Homes drummer. During the recording and production process, they also played many shows, getting to share the stage with The Cab at The Belmont.

During the summer of 2012, the bands bassist Andy parted ways. Due to certain circumstances, he was unable to remain down in Austin. That fall, the guys found a well suited bassist. They were pleased to announce Trent Simmons, the newest member of the FLH family.

After a successful Kickstarter project this past spring, they were able to purchase a van, which will allow them to start touring. This summer, they relocated back to their hometown in Massachusetts to begin touring in the Northeast. Currently, they are finishing up their second EP titled Take On Anything, set to release later this year.
