Geri, who goes by the stage name Geri X moved to the Tampa/St. Petersburg area in 2001 from Bulgaria and began her ascent to become one of Tampa Bay’s most beloved artists. She has received countless accolades for her work including Creative Loafing’s Best Singer Songwriter 2 years in a row while her fans witness the birth of one of the best singer songwriters in many years. She travels across the country and has played in at least half of the US. Her drive and work ethic are unstoppable. She has done three shows in a day countless times and never complains. For she does not view a gig as a job, she views it as a gift: an opportunity to share and connect with her audience. As for what she shares, well it is her voice and her songs. However, she does not simply write a song, she bares her soul, and does that with melodies and hooks that can make you cry with sadness or joy. Says the L.A.
