i love the shirelles so much. this is one of my favorite songs EVER, and its a fine representaion of their amazing body of work. first off, the vocal melody is outstanding and the string melody that accompanies it is perfect. the reverb on her voice sounds so natural and pure, like she’s standing in front of you singing and you are both standing in the grand canyon. the harmonies are pitch perfect… (read more)

You drive through the desert, and in the distance you see a giant Ferris wheel and bizarre structures jutting out through the trees, and it’s as if you have reached a hidden wonderland in the middle of nowhere — an oasis if you will. Big thanks to the Seattle Weekly: Guster has rather impeccable taste in openers; over the past few years, they’ve pretty much played mellow indie-pop tastemaker, bringing Nada Surf, Rogue Wave, Ray LaMontagne, and Wheat along with them.
