Governor also known as Heath Mays is the standard for hip hop music anywhere between here and Louisville, KY. His reach has also spread to the Bootheel of Missouri as far south as Atlanta, GA and has even moved units to Canada, Germany & moved fans all over. He fell in love with hip hop at a young age began writing rhymes in high school and after a failed attempt of college he decided it was time to hone in on his passion and perfect his craft. That is exactly what he did. At 21 when he first debuted his talents he immediately began receiving gig offers. At the time he wasnt nearly as driven and skilled as he is at 23 and fresh off his very first EP DAMAGE CONTROL. As of recently he has built industry connections that are ready to take it to the next level. After performing at the 2014 Ken-Tenn Music Conference the panel of judges wasted no time in offering outlets to really take his career to the next level. Locally he works with acts like ISRAEL JAMES & BATTMAYN but he has now also captured the attention of some even bigger including internationally known acts. After seeing his performance and also growing up from the same are that Governor grew up in JEF JON SIN of 5400 LLC agreed to come up with a model to effectively push him further into the spotlight. Now in pre production for his sophomore drop THE BATTLEFIELD he will have the chance to introduce some of the more lyrical artists out there today to make his vision almost complete. He is currently working on this project to have the necessary amount of material to be present to major record labels. KING LOS, JEF JON SIN, MISCELLANEOUS, & YONAS who are all very established acts have agreed to work with GOVERNOR. The time to take over the music world is now!
