May 11, 2009
Yo,
I wanted to let everyone know about a very special show HLM will be doing this Saturday, May 16 in Northeast Columbia. Get all the details below. It is a benefit show for the Invisible Children foundation. Check out the website at www.invisiblechildren.com. There is a brief overview of what they do below. HLM will be playing with 5 other bands including Heist and the Accomplice, Joal Rush and NeverShoutNever. Tickets are $10 in advance through www.etix.xom and $15 on the day of the show. Please come out and support this great cause.

As part of Ridge View High School's spring service project, we are hosting HOPE 4 Uganda Benefit Rally, and awareness and fundraising event for Invisible Children, a nonprofit organization that works to bring awareness to the tragedy occurring in Uganda. Uganda has been in a 23 year long civil war, and one of the atrocities of this war is that the rebel army uses children as soldiers. HOPE 4 Uganda Benefit Rally will be Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 3:00 pm- 8:00 pm at Clemson's Sandhill Research and Education Center across from the Village at Sandhill. We will have two guest speakers, Derreck Kayongo of CARE and Marie Hamm of Invisible Children as well as 6 musical acts, including The Bitter Suite, Outlaw, Joal Rush, The Heist and the Accomplice, Nevershoutnever!, and Hot Lava Monster. Tickets are currently on sale at Ridge View High School and online at www.etix.com for $10. They will be $15 at the door.
