Hiya, Packy here with an IFD tech update!We just ordered a rather interesting unit from Musician's Friend, the Sonuus G2M. It converts your guitar signal to MIDI so you can use your guitar to play and control external synthesizers. We can interface guitars into Bill's control center as yet another MIDI controller. I logged in to blog just now and it told me my last blog entry was Feb. 11. Terrible. Unacceptable. Gearing up for tour and recording the album, for me, doesn't involve a lot of gearing up at all, really. Brian flies to LA or New York, writes some songs, sends them to us and we write our parts. Lately it's rare that I see the whole band in the same room. A week ago today we signed, packed, and stamped around 300(!) copies of the live DVD from our July Metro show.  Here's a glimpse behind that scene. How long did this take? This past Saturday I Fight Dragons headlined the Metro. This was my first show in the band that we headlined in Chicago. Greeting from Hattiesburg, MS everyone! We rerouted here to hide from Hurricane Ida, which I believe has now been downgraded to "tropical storm" (but it did manage to cancel our show in New Orleans).  Whether our next stop, Pensacola, will be affected is unknown at this time.  I read recently that the storm should weaken further before making landfall.  Here are a few more pictures… (read more)

Seriously! We're on tour! We've played 2 great shows so far in Pittsburgh (sold out!) and Cleveland Heights (packed!), and we just approached the venue in Toledo (empty, but it's only 5 o'clock!). Hiya! Let me begin by announcing that my dear old friend John Geary now holds the Guinness World's Record (pending) for Most Hugs Received By an Individual In One Day!!
