In This Decade
After rehearsing for most of 2011 in a cramped kitchen, the Rock band In This Decade was formed in early 2012 to write originals.
In late 2012, at the urging of their producer to release a song to gauge response, the final Demo of Fly Tonight was decided to be the debut song and released February 9, 2013.
Fly Tonight was a hit on a half dozen Indie music charts within weeks of its release, scoring #1’s on Artistopia, ArtistServer, AudioFarm and OverPlay as well as Top 10’s, Top 20’s, Top 40’s and Top 100’s on Artistopia and SoundClick where it charted at #56 out of 251,362 songs in the Rock genre and #17 out of 56,685 songs in the General Rock Charts.
During the next several months Fly Tonight was featured on several popular Podcasts on MusicAlley and highly complimented by the DJ’s.
Fly Tonight remained strong on the Indie charts for close to a year and during this time, In This Decade established a worldwide, loyal fan base which raved how much they love the bands unique sound and demanded more after hearing just one song.
Following the success of In This Decade’s debut song and encouraged by the incredible fan response, the band got to work on their debut EP.
Undaunted in the midst of tragedy and a series of setbacks that delayed the release of their debut EP, a second song, Don’t Count on Tomorrow, was released on October 30, 2013. Within days In This Decade once again charted in the Top 10 of the ArtistServer Rock, AudioFarm Rock and the Overplay Rock Indie Charts.
On January 15, 2014, In This Decade was selected for a national TV spot at Broadjam and Don't Count on Tomorrow was sent to shows on MTV, Comcast and others.
In This Decade got its first international radio play on June 7, 2014 on Rocktrax at 105.9 Vechtdal FM and its first US radio play on June 8, 2014 on The Basement Tapes with Nick & Bootsy on 92.9 KKID FM.
As the momentum continues to build, the band edges closer to the completion of their debut EP.
Stay tuned...
