Guest appearance in Jeff Lorber's next album!

Posted By IreneB from Orlando, FL April 18, 2010

Hey guys:

How is Springtime treating you? I love Springtime! Even though in Florida is still warm almost all year, this year's been pretty cold too!

Finally! This week I can bring you some real news! Starting by this big secret that I've been hiding all this time... As you might know, in one of the songs in my album, I Wanna Fly, we used the famous jazz keyboard player Jeff Lorber's Rain Dance. Jeff loved it so much that in January he offered us to join forces and create a new version, mixing both songs, our I Wanna Fly & his Rain Dance. But not only that, but both his producer Bobby Colomby (producer of the famous bass Jaco Pastorius, The Jacksons & Paula Cole), and Jeff, decided to try for us to write to more of his songs, and that's what we did! Jeff's next album ¨Now Is The Time¨, is released on June 1st & Frankie (he wrote the lyrics & melodies) & me are guests in... 4 songs! Here's the record & the songlist, you can pre-order the CD if you click on the cover or wait until it's in stores on June 1st.

1. Rain Dance/Wanna Fly 5:23
2. Dr. Moy 4:22
3. Pixel 4:13
4. Sugar Free 3:58
5. Mysterious Traveller 3:57
6. Curtains/Before We Go 4:56
7. Black Ice 4:16
8. Las Rosas 3:07
9. Chinese Medicinal Herbs 4:48
10. Water Sign 4:24
11. Sumatra 4:12

Plus, here you have a video of Jeff talking about the album. Thanks to The Jeff Lorber Fansite for the video!

To top all of this... Next May 2nd I am going to be singing at a benefit concert in Philadelphia, "From Pauper To Prince", where I am guest appearing with Terrence Howard & Fantasia. Wow! I'm really excited! It will be my first time performing there, I've never been in the city itself, but only the airport.

And talking about performances, we just uploaded a video to IreneB TV, where you can see me performing "Tender Soul" in Atlanta, sorry for the bad footage, but that's what the organization gave us. I hope you enjoy it!

By the way, I did forget to tell you something... there is a new member in our band, The Music, new bass player! So... say hello & welcome Mr. Raphael Rivera!

I'm really happy that I can tell you these good news! I'll bring you more next week! Spanish Kisses to everybody! Mwa!
