Jet lag and so on...Posted By IreneB from Orlando, FL August 10, 2009Hiiiiiii, I know, I know... I've been lost for a while... but just remember I've been on a minitour in Spain and plus, I need to rest, right? Well, I got back from Barcelona a couple of days ago, but believe it or not I didn't have time to stop. First we had some problems in our trip back (never fly on US Airways...what a mess!!) and then right after we touched down in Orlando we had to go straight to Miami to have some bussines meetings with our friends Kasie & Ozzie, good things are going on and I'm happy... let's see where it all goes!! Cross your fingers for me!!
Anyway, I didn't have much time to stop 'til now, but it's ok! Here I am to tell you all that's going on! Sooner or later!!
The minitour in Spain went really well, the first gig, at Sala Galileo, was the "worst" one people wise, but I had the chance to rehearse our show and see old friends, so that made it worth! The next 2 were totally SOLD OUT, both in SoulStation Madrid & the two sets at Jamboree! Specially this last one was my favourite, you know I love my Barcelona... Can't wait to come back! I want to send special thanks to Lorenzo De Feo, James Smith, my background singers Marta & Núria & of course, Mr. Frankie Biggz, that worked very hard to make everything sound incredible. Our sound guy Alex as well!
During my visit to Madrid I had the honor to be the guest artist of the week at Pilar Tabares' "Me lo dices o me lo cantas", Pilar is a big host in Spain, she's known for being one of the judges in the first season of Operacion Triundo (Spanish version of American Idol), what a great woman!!
About Spain that's all, we made very good contacts and hopefully we'll be back for more shows soon, can't wait!!
And back to the US, last Frieday we had a show at the Daytona Bandshell, for those who watched MTV you will probably remember the place, it is where they used to record the MTV Springbreak shows. The show was incredible and there was a looot of people dancing to "Metamorphosis". Besides this, the fashion store Forever 21 sponsored the show, so I got to choose any clothing that I wanted for my show. I'll post some pictiures very soon, so you can tell me if you think I made a good choise with the help of my friend Mónica Milbrath (Airbrush Tanning Of Orlando) and our assistant Alyssa Carey.Thank you for the help!
This is all for now, now I gotta keep on working and start to record a secod record very soon! In fact, we already started to record some demos...
In these last weeks my music has been played at: - Undemocratic Hitlist (Reino Unido) - Me Lo Dices o Me Lo Cantas (España)
More news very soon, kisses!!
