"Isaac Reid - Good Morning (Video)"

“Isaac Reid’s single “Good Morning” off of his debut project titled “Nothing To Lose”. Isaac Reid is an up and coming artist hailing from Houston, Texas. The video for “Good Morning” was filmed in it’s entirety in Houston. It takes place with Isaac starting his day off hooping around while having flashback’s of him as a child doing the same thing. The video is very wholesome and warm hearted as you can’t help but smile at the innocence of a young Isaac. The track is very raw and although he tends to speak on struggle throughout the most of it. It still is portrayed in a very up beat and feel good manner. The instrumental for “Good Morning” was produced by Trakksounds. Video was directed in full by Bonda.” - UnderGround HipHop

"Isaac Reid - Good Morning (Video)"

“If you live in a house full of soul then the opening keys from Isaac Reid’s “Good Morning” should be familiar to you. There’s no issue identifying Willie Hutch’s “Baby Come Back” and in the duality for Reid’s latest video, you do want to go back to the good ol’ days. Reid reimagines himself as a kid, brushing his teeth, lacing up his shoes and heading out to shoot a little hoops while the adult him, the grown one finds time out near a playground reminiscing.” - Day & A Dream

"Isaac Reid Ft. Devin The Dude - Changing Lately (Video)"

“While we’re always happy to hear new tunes from Devin The Dude and Trakksounds, getting to know Isaac Reid on “Changing Lately” was a pleasant surprise. Delivering an affectionate ode to the lady in his rear-view that is both vivid and sonically stirring, this TX new jack shows us he’s doing more than rapping just to rap, over slow-burning live instrumentation from Trakk’s new Knock City production crew with Chinky P and Albie D. Let’s hope the rest of Reid’s upcoming Nothing To Lose tape goes just as deep when the Knock City-produced project drops in early August.” - The Smoking Section

"Isaac Reid- Good Morning (Video)"

"The more we hear from Isaac Reid the more we like his honest and open book of rhymes. So many rappers hide behind their schtick, listeners never get to know the actual person behind the mic. Yet, after hearing Reid speak on love lost last go round and now digging up details of his fleeing father throughout this video for the warming “Good Morning,” we feel like family with this southern up & comer. That said, we’ll be welcoming his upcoming Trakksounds-produced Nothing to Lose mixtape on August 8th with open arms." - The Smoking Section

"Isaac Reid Ft. Roosh Williams - Man In My City"

“With less than four days to go until his Nothing To Lose mixtape hits the net, Isaac Reid calls on a bit of a favor for “Man In My City”. It doesn’t necessarily come in the form of Trakksounds & Chinky P., both of whom along with Albie Dickson act like the Houston version of The Neptunes to Reid’s more slowed down yet articulate Fam-Lay but rather with Roosh Williams, who’s given the fun task of knocking off whatever invisible bully Reid hasn’t taken out yet. Running along menacing strings and a small sample of T.I.’s “Top Back”, Williams warms into that supernova double-time flow that concludes with him being bold enough to hit a drive thru at McDonald’s to order seven McGriddles. If that’s his early order than we expect Reid to snatch up every big breakfast imaginable after hearing a more than calm flow that does what it’s intended to do as a set up; lure you in and trap you. From the mellow “Good Morning” to the Devin The Dude assisted “Changing Lately” - Day & A Dream

"Isaac Reid - Pound Cake (Freestyle)"

“Pound Cake” is definitely in the running for this years version of “A milli”, meaning more MC’s have freestyled to this shit than anything this year. Well today we get something from the always impressive Isaac Reid, who drops off his take on the track, taking to the infectious instrumental like a duck to water and showcasing his lyrical way of doing things. The smooth cut gets some of Mr. Reid’s technical bars as he effortlessly does his thing. This dude hasn’t disappointed us yet in 2013 and this shit is no damn different.” - Stupid Dope

"Nothing To Lose Mixtape - "Changing Lately" Video Ft. Kevin The Dude"

"Things always seem to be “Changing Lately,” but for rapper Isaac Reid, that appears to be for the better. Despite the tail tribulations on display throughout his latest video with Devin The Dude, this TX rapper has dropped a few gems on us, all from his recently released project Nothing To Lose. The free album was completely produced by the always imaginative Trakksounds, along with his Knock City crew, plus features other acts like Killa Kyleon, Roosh Williams, Bee, and Amaru TMN.

Since we’re sure many of you can not only dig Isaac’s track here with Devin, but relate to the meandering theme, download this joint and its associates on the full tape below." - The Smoking Section

"Isaac Reid - Good Morning (Official Video)"

"Between having to reset my alarm every few minutes to ensure I don’t oversleep and skipping breakfast every day in favor of ten more minutes of shut-eye, I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t like mornings. When you have the latest from Isaac Reid playing, though, every morning could be a Good Morning. Setting the mood on this freshly-released cut is a soulful, piano-based beat by TrakkSounds, who borrows a sample from The Spinners’ classic I’ll Be Around. Atop the instrumental, Reid gets introspective, exhibiting a crisp, personable flow as he reflects on his father’s departure from his life and the struggles that his close-knit family has gone through. Good Morning, Isaac’s first Booth feature, will be part of his next project, produced in full by TrakkSounds. Watch our pages for further details on the set, which has yet to receive either a title or a solid drop date." - DJ Booth

"Isaac Reid - Shinin'"

"If you lived in NYC during the 80’s or 90’s, you may be familiar with the Smooth Jazz of CD 101.9. While it’s doubtful that producers Trakksounds and Albie Dickson listened to the station during their early years in Texas, their work on Isaac Reid‘s new single, Shinin, suggests otherwise. With a tunnel vision set on sold out arenas and his craft, Reid has finally graduated from grinding to shining on hip-hop’s career ladder. Now he’s using his twang infused, steady flow to tell personal stories that involve Garcia Vegas and flights around the world. Shinin will live on Issac’s upcoming project, Test Of Time, which is due out on April 24. Have a seat and enjoy, as this Southerner continues to write his Cinderella story." - DJ Booth

"Isaac Reid Ft (Devin The Dude) - Changing Lately [Music Video]"

Isaac Reid links up with the TX legend Devin The Dude for his latest visual, “Changing Lately,” featuring production from Trakk Sounds. Look for the joint on Reid’s latest project Nothing To Lose, available now. Peep! - Kevin Nottingham

"Isaac Reid - Shinin'"

"If you have been rockin’ with us here at stupidDOPE, then hopefully you have been rockin’ with the sounds of Isaac Reid. Today the wordsmith is back with yet another impressive offering for our listening enjoyment, unleashing a nice new cut called “Shinin”. The track is a refreshing, unique, and infectious number from Mr. Reid in which he again showcases his unmatched lyrical talents.

The cut is driven by an exception melody and paired with some nice, energetic drums that makes for something quite dope for the wordsmith to let loose upon; and he doesn’t let us down. This man is nothing to sleep on, check out the new offering from Isaac Reid after the jump and speak your mind on it down below. Stay tuned for much more coming from Isaac very soon!" - Stupid Dope

"Isaac Reid - Catch Up"

"2013 was a huge year for Houston upcomer Isaac Reid and he isn’t getting complacent, no time for resting right. He kick starts his 2014 with a self-produced single entitled “Catch Up”." - ItzBizkit

Bio

Known initially for his role on the basketball court before an ACL/LCL career ending injury, Houston, Texas native Isaac Reid stepped out as an MC summer 2013, when he released his first, debut project, "Nothing To Lose" produced by his long time friend, Garrett Brown (Trakksounds). It didn't hurt that Isaac had the support of Houston Hip-Hop legend, Devin The Dude, as they collaborated on an unfailing single "Changing Lately" which is featured on Isaac's "Nothing To Lose" project. Not to mention, Isaac did make the cut for Houston's Top 25 Rap albums of 2013 by Houston Press, coming in at #22. Impressive for his first ever project. Isaac's N2L also featured Houston's own Killa Kyleon & Roosh Williams. Despite being unsigned, Isaac managed to shine light on his authentic image and generate a fan base through honest and clever wordplay and storytelling. Reid released his second project, "Test Of Time" EP April 2014 which received state-wide and national recognition. With no high-profile features on the EP, Isaac decided to step out of his comfort zone and raise the bar by testing the waters independently.  "Test of Time" was also an introduction of Isaac Reid the Producer as he partnered with German native, Florian Wiesner (Heartbeatz) on multiple records for the EP. "This dude hasn't disappointed us yet..." is what StupidDope editor Jesse James, had to say about Reid's tenacious drive. He raised his profile throughout the next several months by featuring on countless mix tapes and is gradually becoming one of the most talked about artists in the south, where he attends college at LSU-Shreveport.  Isaac even rang enough bells to be heard and invited to the 2014 SXSW 'Nice Kicks' Showcase. Isaac is standing on mountains of motivation with no intention of decreasing his altitude. Keep a close eye on Isaac Reid in the future.
