    Bio

Hailing from the small college town of Gainesville,FL, A.K.A. "Gator Country," Q.O. has always had a big city mindset. His dad was a self-taught singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and passed the "music bug" on to Q.O.  Growing up in a Pentecostal church, Q.O. became completely immersed in the world of music! He was a perennial member of the church choirs and was always singing or beating on something trying to make music. Although he was deeply rooted in Gospel, Q.O. also had an affinity for R&B. Around the age of 10, he began to experiment with writing songs and poems for fun, and by the age of 14, he had over 10 songs and 20 poems under his belt. It was at that time that his musical evolution began to take place. He was introduced, by a friend, to an uber talented rapper from the Midwest named 3D, he met a rap savant named Sir Flame, and he began to collaborate heavily with an up and coming R&B/vocal phenom named M.L. Through his involvement with the aforementioned trio, Q.O. was challenged to immensely improve his songwriting and take pride in his craft. He deviated from the typical R&B approach and started dabbling in hip hip. Consequently, he realized that he had an innate ability to string together unconventional rhyme schemes and vary his flow to come up with a very unique sound, while singing/rapping. Moving forward to present day, Q.O. has continued to build upon his very diverse, musical foundation to become an artist that continues to be described as being “in a league of his own.” He plans to continue pushing the envelope, determined to make some noise on the music scene in the near future. He cites artists/groups Fred Hammond, The Winans, Usher, Jagged Edge, Ludacris, Notorious B.I.G., and Outcast as big influences.
