"Review on DJBotth.com"

Previously introduced to our readers via Bay Area rapper Clyde Carson‘s I’m Lost, rising R&B star Jamillions is back to make his Booth debut as a headliner. On the latest single off his forthcoming full-length, the Californian singer lets a special lady know just how far he’s willing to go to make her happy, informing her that, in order to become his queen and enjoy all the associated perks, she need only say “Uh Huh.” Though that slurred affirmative normally isn’t the height of romance, the singer manages to make it seem that way, delivering starry-eyed declarations of true love over The Legion‘s midtempo blend of piano and synth-bass, accented by overdubbed backing vocals. If this talented up-and-comer’s promises of “fortune and fame and diamond rings and everything” leave you lovestruck, keep it locked to our front page. The currently unsigned artist’s forthcoming studio album, UnRated, has yet to receive a release date, but you can rest assured that DJBooth.net will bring you all the latest news and tunes.

Bio

Timelessness, humility, and quality are three factors that are hard to come by in todays urban artists. When you do find them, you know there is something unique about that artist. With Jamillions, whether its a microphone or a pen in his hand, breaks the current mold in a world of auto tuning and ghostwriting. He has been gaining respect and making a name for himself for a few years now as a r&b/pop singer, songwriter, and producer. Writing all of his own material and arranging the vocals, his versatility is influenced by various R&B artists. Jamillions hooks are catchy and contemporary, and he captures the old school soul influence with his smooth melodies and tasteful background vocals creating a universal sound. He has even been compared to todays iconic artists like Usher, Chris Brown, and Ne-yo.
He has worked with the whos who of the urban music scene in the Bay Area and has written and recorded with people like Eric Hudson (Kanye West, Leona Lewis), Too Short, Traxamillion (Keak Da Sneak, E-40), Mistah FAB, and many others. Two songs have received spins on 94.9 KYLD, 106.1 KMEL in San Francisco and several college and independent stations in the area. Currently, Jamillions, is writing for the Slapboyz, Eric Hudson, and Rob-E. He is working on an anticipated collaboration album with rapper TUFLUV called "International, produced by Joe-L.
