Bio
Jordy Searcy began his musical endeavors at the age of 12; writing songs on his acoustic guitar and playing out frequently in venues around his hometown, Fairhope, AL. In 2011, he met Baton Rouge producer Rick Naqvi, who helped him in recording his first acoustic demos of original music. The following year, he recorded his first four song EP titled Oceanside.
After rounding up a full band of musicians, Jordy released his first eponymous album in the summer of 2012. After a year of playing shows in the South Alabama region, Jordy decided moved to Florence, AL to attend the University of North Alabama to pursue a degree in Entertainment Technology and Music Performance.
It in Florence where Jordy met keyboardist Philip Towns, bassist Travis Dykes, and drummer Seth Harbison. Starting in the spring of 2014, Jordy will begin gigging regularly under the Jordy Searcy Band title, and working on a full band EP projected to be released in the summer of 2014.
