All those good, non-competitive vibrations aside, though, if I had the power to send just one of tonight's contestants directly to the finals (without passing the Wild Card, and without collecting $200) it would undoubtedly be Ju'Not. I loved that the affable dad chose a song that was written this decade. I loved the way he clearly felt every word of ''Hey There Delilah'' to the tips of his toes, infusing new meaning into a song that's been played so much, it usually sends me into emotional autopilot. From the streets of Baltimore and Washington, D.C., rises a musical prophet with a voice and message that will inspire and move the masses. Once considered a danger to the community and written off as another ghetto statistic destined to either be jailed or murdered, Ju`not fought foster care and the odds to become a beacon of hope to every child cut from the fabric of the ghetto.
