K-Bass and Farafina Musiki

K-Bass and Farafina Musiki, is a crowd pleasing Afro Pop Reggae band that brings an exciting, highly dancable sound and wows audiences every time.

A testament to the strength of the human spirit, (Bassirima Soro (AKA “K-Bass”) overcame terrible poverty in his homeland (the Ivory Coast of West Africa) and become a world renowned and record holding cross country runner, mostly running barefoot because he couldn’t afford shoes. Raised by a family of loving but impoverished musicians, after conquering the running circuit in his home country, K-Bass raised every dollar he could and moved to the United States to find better opportunities to help his family.  He then learned English obtained a nursing degree and continued to win races, including the prestigious Tucson Marathon, 6 times consecutive!  Eventually he was able to pursue his true passion, MUSIC. After being the lead singer for many established African based bands, in 2011 he formed K-Bass and Farafina Musiki, an incredible African reggae/Afro Pop band which is making serious waves. Through the music, K-Bass brings a message of hope, unity, and cultural awareness to adoring fans across the world while exposing them to African inspired music. K-Bass has released three albums to date, multiple music videos and audiences love to come and dance to the uplifting and dynamic sounds of his unique Reggae/Afro-Pop blend. Fans leave every K-Bass concert feeling uplifted, joyful about life and hungry for more.
