Bio

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, K. Moses has carved a life for herself that is both varied and vocal. Having enlisted in the Tennessee National Guard back in 2007, she is now in the Texas National Guard, but continues to explore a number of other ventures that are close to her heart. Born in the 80s, K has been honing her musical talents since her days in elementary school, where she would write songs, drawing inspiration from 70s and 80s R&B soul and funk. A keen advocate for causes that promote the idea of looking beyond material possessions and physical attributes, K. Moses is a breath of fresh air in the often overly superficial music industry.
Inspiration that transcends decades
While some artists observe the current music scene and attempt to emulate what they hear and see, K looks beyond the confines of modern sounds and reflects on music from different eras, weaving a number of styles and sounds into her eclectic tracks. Notable acts that inform her work include The Gap Band, Aretha Franklin, Trey Songz, UGK, Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, Tela, The Isley Bros., Teena Marie, EightBall & MJG, Earth, Wind,& Fire, Lakeside, Do Or Die, and Al Green.
Using her voice for more than music
K recognizes that artists have a platform that they can use to their advantage to aid social movements and spark thought amongst the public. She refuses to let her expression end when her songs do and is working tirelessly to support the ‘Why Wonder’ cause, which invites people to look beyond the way they dress and which gender they identify with and recognize the fact that we all have something in common. The fact that we are human.
