12/14/2012 - Update - "A Silent Night"Posted By Kathleen Carnali from Panera Bread Company December 14, 2012
My heart is so heavy as I write to you. I am sitting in a booth at Panera Bread Co. unable to fully process the news that I just heard come out of Newton, Connecticut. Dear God, be with those families right now… I truly have no words that can express the deep sadness I feel.
I will soon be packing up here and leaving for Northland Church to soundcheck for the concert tonight. If you are able to come, the address is: 530 Dog Track Road Longwood, FL 32750 and it starts at 7:00pm. We have been on the road for about two weeks now on the “Go Tell” Tour. Every date so far has been incredible and full of the Lord’s presence. Cheth has been doing wonderful too and is really enjoying all the attention. He has experienced many “firsts” throughout this trip. So far while being on his first tour, he has had his first sound check, experienced his first concert, sat on a float in his first parade, got his picture with mommy up on iTunes, and turned four months old! I can’t even tell you how much fun it has been having him on the road with us. It was definitely a first for me, showing up to soundcheck and having to go straight to the bathroom because of a major blowout. Note to self; don’t buy the cheap diapers ever again. Incase you haven’t heard already, my new single has just released for download on iTunes and Amazon! “A Silent Night” is a new version of one of my all time favorite classic Christmas songs. You will recognize the traditional lyrics with a new melody and arrangement that will take you right back to that night two thousand years ago, when our Lord Jesus was born. Never before have the lyrics of “Silent Night” meant more to me than now. Being a new mother and having my little newborn son right there in the studio with me as I sang about Mary and baby Jesus and the “mother and child” relationship, was a deep and emotional experience I’ll never forget. You can download “A Silent Night” today at iTunes, Amazon and/or Google Play for only ninety-nine cents. Here are the links below.
Also be sure to look closely at the “A Silent Night” cover picture… The precious baby in the picture is little Cheth, all wrapped up in his mother’s arms. : )
Well, it’s time for me to head out. We shall continue to pray fervently for the children, families and all connected to the tragic event in CT. This hits so close to home for all of us. Please dear Jesus, let your Holy Spirit bring peace where there is none, and hope where there is such loss. We know that you LORD are our Hope and Peace…
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Rev. 21:4)
I love you all so much.
