Bio

Quickly rising as a star in the southwest music scene, Keize sets himself apart as one of the most musically independent artists in the game today. Whether it’s writing, producing, mixing or exploring his talent for graphic design, Keize has the ability to seamlessly fill every role and create a well-rounded, expertly crafted product.

Born and raised in the small town of Clovis, New Mexico, Keize grew up in a family of musicians and showed a gift for music at a young age. Continuing to craft his skills throughout childhood, he was an accomplished keyboard player by the age of 16. The name Keize is a derivative of the words keys and seize (As in seize the moment). Performing in a popular tejano band named Grupo Eclipse, Keize played for crowds across New Mexico and Texas. These deep musical roots gave him a foundational understanding of the industry and ingrained in him a style that permeates his music to this day.

Upon graduating high school, Keize immediately took interest in music production and earned the Master Recording Program II Certification from The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences. Shortly thereafter, he was named one of America's top 40 unsigned artists by Gutta World Magazine.

Always one to put in work, Keize burst on to the scene with his 3rd mixtape/album combo labeled “On Deck II” released in early 2011. Banking on the success of “On Deck II”, Keize steered his broadening career into a different direction with the release of 10 hit singles and music videos. The bold direction shift paid off for Keize. The music videos for “Mad At Cha” aired in Footlocker stores nationwide, "Out Of Time" & "Odyssey" broadcasted on the California Music Channel in the bay area and his single "How Could You Hate It?" was broadcasted on Tempo Networks in over 7 countries.

Continuously evolving of his music, Keize is currently working on his brand new EP titled “Ethereal”, which is also the name of his record label.

“Ethereal by definition means 'seemingly not of this world: unworldly' and with it I'm trying to create a new movement and take people to another place” Keize said of his newest creation in the works. “Everyone talks about swag, being a "boss" but there's more to life. Think beyond the materialism. I'm very conceptual with everything I do and my new EP will showcase this.” Keize continues to garner recognition in the hip-hop industry. He has opened for artists such as Juicy J, Baby Bash, 2 Chainz, T-Pain, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, The Game and many others. Stay tuned for the EP release date for Ethereal coming soon.
