On July 22nd, 2013, King & Company beat out 25 other artists at Eddie Owen Presents ( Eddie is the former owner of Eddie's Attic in Decatur, GA) to win the songwriter showcase. They will return to Georgia on November 29th, 2013 to compete against all other showcase winners from throughout the year. Eddie has helped launch the careers of John Mayer, Civil Wars, and Sugarland, to name a few. - John King

Bio
After getting married in 2013, John and Laura Baker King decided that it had come time to parlay their love for music into writing and performing original music together.
John was born in Birmingham, AL, and therefore brings blues, southern rock and soul sensibilities to the group. He has been a songwriter for many years, releasing John King Tunes in 2009. Laura, from Winter Haven, FL, brings an airy smooth voice, and a knack for moving, rich harmonies. Together they take audiences on a journey through songs that tell stories, move people to think, and most importantly, entertain.
