At the age of 13, after writing his first song on lunch detention, a place familiar to the then hard headed 8th Grader.  King K fell in love with music and at the time he never imagined would be his chosen path in life.  Being a gifted and talented athlete as a young child his love for music would always be overshadowed by his athletic skills by his family and peers.  Though in the eyes of many, music wasn't the route he should go but King K never for a moment put music second to anything in his life.  At 18 he accepted a scholarship offer to attend LSU where King K would go on to become the 1st 2-Time BCS National Champion in FBS History.  But after getting injured in 2009 while with the St. Louis Rams, King K realized that he was blessed with another gift to present to the world and felt that it was time to walk the path he felt he was always destined for.   After releasing a couple mixtapes “Scars of Success” in 2010 and “Paint The City Black” in 2012, which achieved moderate success, King K realized that even though the projects didn’t achieve mainstream success, he started to grow a fan base in The South and out on The West Coast.  After releasing the video for “Pour Up Roll Up” which was the first and only single from the “Paint The City Black E.P” King K was contacted by a producer from Spain that expressed interest in working with him on his next project.  One year after the initial introduction, the “G.R.I.T.S (Get Rich In The Struggle) Album” was created and King K felt that he’d finally put together a solid project that would propel him to underground and mainstream success.  With the 1st single off the album “Watch Me Turn” already raising eyebrows and catching waves, be on the lookout for Kirston King K Pittman to step up to the platform in summer 2015 and become a staple in Hip-Hop for years to come.
