Welcome to the Bear Family.

What does it mean to be a Lost Panda? What is this strange bear family you have randomly been welcomed into? Well quite simply it means that each and every one of us are lost, trying to find our way out of the darkness and figure it all out. Though we may feel like we are the last of our dying breed, we are not, no one really has it all figured out yet. All of us are lost, and it’s up to each and every one of us to come together and to build each other up. Take pride in your uniqueness and your individual journey. Tobby Lie and Tyler Rhea formed Lost Pandas in the summer of 2012 to unify people who are lost and promote self love, to let people know that whatever they are going through, they are not alone, because in all honesty, these two are probably the most lost out of anyone. We believe that everyone is important, no matter who you are, or how lost you may think you are.

So who are we? Who invited you to this strange family? Why should you trust us? Well you probably shouldn't, don't talk to strangers right? Well let us introduce ourselves to help you get a little more acquainted with us.

Tobby (TOE-BEE) Lie (LEE), sometimes called Tobes, Tobester and usually Tobbs is an awkward boy who likes to be himself. His power animal is a fox, he enjoys fireplaces when it's storming out, and he likes to meditate daily. Oh, he's also the vocalist/song-writer for Lost Pandas. Tyler (Tyler) Rhea (Ray), sometimes called Tyler (that was a joke) has been trying to grow facial hair for years, but just can't get it right. His favorite cuisine is McDonald's, he believes in the existence of aliens, and takes hour long showers. He is also the musician/producer of Lost Pandas. Lost Pandas is based in Aurora, Colorado. Upon listening to their music, you will find that each song is a gateway into another world, a cinematic adventure, and a joyride into your imagination. Their music falls best under experimental, ambient hip-hop. With a new set of sounds utilized in each and every song, a different approach is found with every piece. The use of catchy ad-libs and melodies makes for a very enticing quality of sound. The lyricism tackles big world issues and examines the human condition on a personal level. Down to the root of it, Lost Pandas is just two boys having fun with what they love doing, simply put. Each song is approached differently and no two are the same. Their first release, a self-titled mixtape “Lost Pandas” features many visually-provoking, cinematic songs that take you to different worlds. Themes that arise in this mixtape are ideas of self exploration, loving oneself, understanding the importance of oneself, and breaking norms to do what one wants. When Tyler and Tobby first got together, they knew they wanted something more than just music, they wanted to be able to take listeners to different places in each song. It was important that it wasn't just listening to music, but was an experience. They also create short films, are into photography, write short stories and more. Their music was received extremely well amongst their peers and close acquaintances and they now hope to expand their horizons and take things to the next level by sharing what they have with more and more people. The two are now planning extensively for shows and promotion of their material through the press.

One final note.

The last thing we want to ever become is high and mighty. We do not believe in fame. Sure, we are artists. We are musicians, photographers, filmers, writers and more. But what we truly are, are humans. Humans that believe in others. Humans that want to positively impact others. Help them to understand their worth and their importance no matter who they are. We want people to be who they ought to be. Who they want to be. No matter how much of a “lost cause” it may seem to others. Please. Get lost. Get so lost in yourself that you never find your way out. You are important.

YOU ARE IMPORTANT. GET LOST.
