About Love Me Electric

Chicago, IL Pop Punk

Let’s face it: pop-punk is here to stay. It may go through its fair share of variations, reinterpretations, and shameful cop-outs, but like the youth who revel in the genre’s upbeat and anthemic undertakings – the supply will always be perpetual. Dedication is therefore an immediately necessary attribute any band must have in order to survive in this flavor-of-the-week scene. Love Me Electric knows this, because a name has to fight to be sold before it can become household.

The Sunrise, the band’s sophomore effort, is an immediately distinguishable album. Their honest sound is a stride past everyone else still dabbling in frivolously flirtatious cliche. And don’t think for a second Love Me Electric use an extravagant light show to overshadow a less-than-desirable performance. The band has built themselves to be one of Chicago’s best live acts, and the ability to sell out The Metro or House of Blues, has consistently proved to the thousands of miles outside of their hometown that the Windy City scene has just one set of true heroes.

Love Me Electric doesn’t need an image out of your sister’s closet to win over new fans. They believe a gimmick-less approach to their music leads to lifelong fans and the proper admiration needed to persist as a relevant band. Love Me Electric has self-booked every single one of their tours since the beginning and through hard work and dedication they managed to be apart of Warped Tour 2008. They were able to hand out 15,000 flyers with their stage and time. Talk about promotion! They’ve also been known to have a good time on the road with such bands as Lucky Boys Confusion, Rookie of the Year, The Spotlight, 1997 and other established bands. While also playing along side The Academy Is..., Cartel, All Time Low, Reel Big Fish, and The Hush Sound.

Love Me Electric’s music is here to stay, and doesn’t plan on changing with the trends. Hard at work and booked to be in the studio by early 2010, they are excited to release their next album, Traffic and Weather.
