Bio
Magic Bean was conceived with a couple of acoustic guitars and two heads full of music. Chris Thomas and Charlie Illingworth began writing songs together as roommates in Bethlehem and quickly found comfort in the way their voices blended and their strumming patterns seemed greater that the sum of just two. Heavily influenced by just about every style of music, Magic Bean lands somewhere in the folk rock realm with Charlie's dynamic lead playing pulling in some blues and jazz. Chris might have been a country singer if he hadn't first become immersed in Dylan, James Taylor and the like. Magic Bean pens songs inspired by real life people and events, crafted with poetic and poignant lyrics
that capture the story told to the tones of an acoustic duo or full live band depending on the venue.
