Martha's Trouble

We left yesterday on an 11 day tour with the kids, babysitter, dog and cat all in tow. Our first show was last night at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta. We love that place! We shared the stage with some great songwriters, Sydney Eloise, Jessica Cayne & Patrick Scott. It really was a great night.

We did a hotwire for our accommodations last night and for $55 got put at the Hilton. Not a bad first night on the tour I have to say, but can’t get used to that!!! The kids enjoyed riding the see through elevator and swimming at the pool. Wilson keeps saying he’s on vacation:) So we made it through the first night and are now on day 2. We just stopped for lunch at one of our favorite fast food places, Chipolte. Holy moley those burritos are HUGE. Megan, the babysitter, is vegetarian and looks like I have converted back to being one too now due to the small food poisoning I got from eating bad hamburger meat the day before we left!! I can’t look at meat right now! I thought I was gonna die!! (not really, but it was a pretty awful feeling) So we will see how I do on this trip!!

We are now headed to Chattanooga. We play there tonight at this place called Charles & Myrtle’s Coffeehouse. Everyone is quiet. The kids are watching a DVD and the animals are sleeping. Next stop, Starbucks…then on to the venue. I hope the great start to this tour is a sign that the rest will be just as good! Time will tell. I will write again tomorrow.
