Recently, I was asked by KLOVE radio to be part of a contest they do for Valentine’s Day. We’ve done the contest for 3 years now, and each year has been bigger and bigger. Its always a strange feeling, flying on 9/11. Im in the Denver airport right now, getting ready to board a plane to Salt Lake City. I think Ive been on a plane every 9/11 since the tragic terrorist attacks a few years back. And every 9/11 as I check in for my flight, I cant help but think about what happened. This weekend in Atlanta was really something special. I love playing shows close enough to Nashville that my girls can join me. So Emily drove down the Saturday morning with the girls, and we got to spend the day together at the ball park. Lulu had an absolute blast. The Braves were kind enough to put all of us in a sky box, which is something I dreamed of when I was a kid. I wonder who those people… (read more)

Yesterday was a whirlwind. The band and I flew into Philadelphia in the morning, drove an hour and a half to Revelation Generation Festival and played a show. This was my first time at that festival. It was beautiful out there. Then, right after the show we headed straight back to the airport and flew back home. As we drive to our second stop, one of our guides has just pointed to a mountain and said, we are going to the top. We have a map, but the road we are on is not on it& Poverty surrounds our van. Our first stop this morning was to the inner city of Bogota, Colombia. We held an event in a church with a powerful name, Breaking Chains. The pastor is a former drug dealer and addict. He now has a heart to reach the families and children whose parents are involved in the same addictions. I woke up this morning in Bogota, Colombia. It was a long day yesterday in the airports, but pretty harmless. My brother, (who is also my manager) is traveling with me. its a cloudy, cool day and I am a bit nervous, but its more of an excited nervous, about today. Im leaving Sunday for Bogota, Colombia. Ill be there for a week with Samaritans Purse and Operation Christmas Child. Along with Franklin Graham, I will be delivering shoe boxes filled with gifts to children in poverty stricken areas. These boxes were collected last Christmas all over the U.S. Over 8 million were collected last year, and we hope to do it again this year. I am a spokesman once again… (read more)
