"Natalie Claro brings her versatile songwriting to Women that Rock at The Knit on 11.29"

Natalie Claro’s music is a menagerie of influences - her full length debut Disconnect is a fluid collection of songs equal parts garage, singer-songwriter, and folk, with additional nods to electronic R&B and classical piano composition. It may sound like a lofty undertaking for a single record, but Claro’s strength comes primarily from her ability to channel a variety of genres into a cohesive, exciting sound, one united by her explosive vocal performances. Throughout Disconnect, Claro shows that she’s equally comfortable hollering with an acoustic guitar on “Mountains” (streaming) as she is interpolating elements of Für Elise on “Interlude The Disconnect,” while still finding time to croon against colder, moodier synths on “Blood” and album closer “Poor Boy.” Today’s musical landscape frequently pushes artists into comfortable shticks and niches, and Natalie Claro’s decision to circumvent the norm is fearless and admirable.

"Natalie Claro - Baby Bug"

Natalie Claro - Baby Bug
Natalie Claro is a driven, passionate and charismatic songstress and performer whose music is a striking concoction of alternative rock with a diverse blend of influences, ranging from Haley Williams and Zella Day to twenty one pilots or Queen, just to mention a few.

Her latest single, “Baby Bug” is immediately striking on the grounds of Natalie’s powerful and energetic vocal approach. Her lyricism is intimate and personal, yet extremely direct and easy to relate to. “Baby Bug” is a direct and spontaneous track that reminds me of that feeling of wanting to leave your background and situation in pursuit of something better. This is a song about knowing you’re better than that high school bully or that small town in the middle of nowhere that just does not understand your values. Through her masterfully executed performances and earnest vocal hooks, Natalie set out to transform a deep train of thoughts into a catchy, appealing and memorable song that won’t get out of your head so easily. "Natalie Claro: “Baby Bug” establishes her as an avant-garde alternative pop princess"

It’s so exciting to hear someone bringing real artistry to pop music. Natalie Claro reminds me of some of the female artists from the ’90s, lots of substance and plenty of musical skill too. Her latest song “Baby Bug” is terrific, and her vocal quirks add uniqueness to a track that is already well written.

Natalie enters a crowded field here, competing against a slew of artists and bands that all come equipped with clean, arresting hooks, a sense of economy, and a belief in crisp production. It’s in this musical landscape increasingly defined by bold, innovative, and powerful female pop stars, that she is daring enough to take on the challenge.

Natalie Claro generated buzz with her previous single, “Stumble”, for a reason. She’s lucky enough to boast a powerful voice with a smart timbre, equal parts thrilling and emotional. But like any great tool, her natural gift means little if not wielded properly.

On “Baby Bug” it establishes her as an avant-garde alternative pop princess. Rather than an all-out assault on screaming synths, Natalie’s music revels in its dynamism. The track divides itself between simplistic string and piano arrangements, and then gradually is filled with fully-charged vocals, robust percussion and an almost cinematic rise in keyboards and melody.

The lyricism can be downright heartrending, proving that the songwriter is filled with limitless potential. “Baby Bug” is certainly an impressive outing. It’s brimming with authenticity and is clearly indicative of a budding star.

There are brief parts indicative of brilliance, and others that show that Natalie has an astounding amount of patience and restraint, and one can be sure that this young Tampa recording artist, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, will have plenty of great things ahead for her musically.

Natalie Claro who has released two singles and is currently working on the third, developed her songwriting skills at 10 years old. Growing up in a music-filled house has influenced her ability. From Michael Jackson and Billy Joel to Twenty One Pilots, Zella Day and Kanye; her influences are a diverse mix.

Taking the best of all these influences plus her own alternative pop musings and meshing it together, she has created a truly great single with “Baby Bug”. - Jamsphere

"“Discomposure” By Natalie Claro Proves That Women Rock"

Natalie Claro is an incredible independent artist hailing from New York City. Multi-talented and ambitious, Natalie is the sole singer/songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist on all of her original tracks. Known for her captivating lyrical themes, she truly shines when she on stage. Her powerful vocals, crowd surfing, and on stage cartwheels make her an unforgettable act to see live. Through her eclectic and accessible music, Natalie Claro’s fan base impressively ranges from teenagers to 60’s rock fans and beyond.
Featured on Natalie Claro’s EP “Selfish Topics” is the hard-hitting indie-rock anthem “Discomposure”. It’s easily one of the most instrumentally energizing and satisfying tracks on this EP. After the intro, “Discomposure” explodes into a thick wall of distorted power-chords and fast drums that are accompanied by a clear-cut vocal that again drives with every detail of the storyline in a graphic and compelling manner. It’s all soaked in an authentic care-free meets overly-concerned air. Natalie Claro has an immediately recognizable tone and technique to her songwriting and performances, you can still absolutely see how she’s garnered such an impressive fan base. A big part of that has perhaps been the theme of the writing alongside her charisma and true talent.
