NAILnews for Nov 16th 09

November 17, 2009
Nov 16, '09 - Greetings, all! We're a bit overdue for a website update. Lots going on, so lets get to it. 1st off, Neil has started a new music series at the fabulous Wherehouse Restaurant, 119 Liberty St in Newburgh. It's called "Weird Wednesdays," and every other Wednesday Neil and a special guest will present an evening of cutting edge experimental music. Total sonic mayhem ensues. At this point it's only booked through Dec 16th; Neil's guests are GJ Tronic (Nov 18th), Joe Pascarell (Dec 2nd) and Bob Meyer (Dec 16th). We plan on putting up a special "Weird Wednesday Webpage" with photos, and perhaps video as well. We guarantee no tone will be left unstoned... or something. Meanwhile, NAIL will close out the year with a Nov 20th Show (also at the Wherehouse) and their Annual Winter Solstice Celebration, to be held Dec 17th at the Turning Point in Piermont NY. Always a major event on the NAIL calendar, this year promises to be no exception with special guests vocalist Judi Silvano; horn men Premik Russel Tubbs and John Richmond; and possibly some surprise guests as well. As usual, we will be accepting canned food donations for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. In addition, Bob Meyer's Jazz Jam Session continues every other Sunday at the Bean Runner Cafe in Peekskill. Last but not least, we're working on a major site redesign that bring us up to the new web 2.0 standard, and incorporate all our social networking sites. And that's the news! Check the tour page for gigs, and stay tuned. You ROCK.
