nineplanfailed blog: Inbetween days

...and we're back in the room. Hello! Its been a while, hasn't it? Did you miss me?

Obligitory apology for not writing/publishing more bloggage - since the beginning of the year, we've been super-busy gigging (I think we passed our 60th gig recently - since we started - not the 60th this year) - which, we/I see as a major success. After all, how many other bands at 'our level' keep it up for that long? (I don't know the answer, but it seems that a lot stumble and fall by the wayside...so many unrealised dreams, so many unheard songs...)

So, here we are - back together again, you and I, at the beginning of June - it I found a spare half hour or so to compose this. (Yes, it takes that long. You didn't think I just shat these words out, did you? It takes, on average, two weeks hardcore thinking, another week planning and finally 30 minutes to bash away at a keyboard to create these blog posts. Consider yourself lucky!)

So, anyway - as well as the aforementioned plentiful gigs (for which we're very grateful to anyone and everyone that has put us on, and played alongside us - more in a bit), we've even been doing a bit of recording, here and there.

"What's that? More recordings? Where are they? I must listen to them now, because my whole life is devoted to following nineplanfailed and to be able to hear new songs is like a shot of heroin", I hear you say?

Well, its true, we've had two sessions in the studio, and got six or seven songs down. Unfortunately, events have conspired against us and getting the tracks mixed is taking longer than we were hoping. But stay tuned, it won't be too much longer (has been the mantra going through our head) and very soon (hopefully) we'll have some new stuff on disc and online.
