One-Eyed Doll

My friends EYESHINE from LA are in town for Ikkicon!!! They are a really sweet group of people, super talented and alot of fun to play with! We met them at Animix last summer and instantly hit it off. I'm so happy to have them in Austin for a few days!

The group is led by the multi-talented singer/guitarist Johnny Yong Bosch. Johnny and I decided that a collaboration or duet is absolutely in order, and we took advantage of our time together to work out some songs here at the studio. We got some great stuff down last night, and Jason is editing it right now.

Johnny has a silky smooth voice and great range - and is a really good guitarist. We recorded one acoustic song that he'd written just hours before and one electronic song that Jason and I have been working on. He sounds great on it!!! I think our voices and styles, as different as they are from each other, blend really well.

I already love Johnny and the guys, and I think this could be the beginning of beautiful working relationship. :)
