My mother used to say

If I had a peanut

She told me tapioca
Was made of monkey brains
When I tried to make it from scratch
She never complained

My mother is a weird monkey
I guess I get it from her
She dances in the grocery store
And has as crush on MacGyver

When I look into her big brown hair
It becomes so clear to see
We're not so different after all
My mother's turned out just like me

People ask me why
I turned out this way
"Did a monkey farmer raise you?”
"Naw!"
