Hi Everyone! Patrice here and...

I am hoping that all of you are having a peaceful New Year. 

Shout out to everyone who have generously helped the people of Haiti in different ways. 

I know everyone talks about it, but it's on my mind as I get ready to go out on the road and I am thinking of all of the abundance in  my life and that I have the privilege right now to do things like travel and make a new record and enjoy healthy food and have a safe home to live in. We all do the best we can with where we are at, but thank you to those of you who have been able to help more.

I've been spending a lot of time working on the new recordings for the CD that will come out later this year. It's been a lot of fun and ear opening to do songs in ways I have never done them before. I think you are all going to be very pleased when it's done. Before I started on this process for the first time in the new year, 

I spent some time thinking about my desire to be more creative and more honest and more grateful than I have ever been before. I think even though I've worked toward that  in the past, I've just learned so much over the last few years it's this intention that is going to produce different measurable results in my music, my quality time with people and  ultimately our mutual experience together. I hope you will check in with me a lot this year. My new record as well as The Grace Foundation and simply my smiles will be evidence of this process. I really love you all for helping make this record and the Grace Foundation possible. Stay in touch! I'm heading out to do a few dates with my friend Pride Wright from the Brushwood Lounge. You may remember Pride produced the Live at the Brushwood Lounge record that Wayne Sutton made with me in California.

Pride also put together the raft trip last June that I went on. We are doing it again in June so get ready if you want to make that trip this year. 

I highly recommend this amazing trip in the Wild on one of the most radical rapid runs in truly AWESOME beauty.

Pride and I are producing several different types of  shows on this music trip starting Wednesday. I will be at Zannotti's in StillWater Oklahoma on January 27th as well as speaking at Oklahoma State University. Then we are doing a House Concert with community Organic Food in Denver, then we are off to Moab Utah near where the raft trip will put in again this year for a small show. I will be creating HD video conversation with some of my favorite people in Vegas on the subject of Community and making life SWEET... Then my Bass playin' brother Glenn will fly up to meet us in Murphy's California and we will do a show at the Black Bart Theater February 5th. We may add a second show there on the 6th and then we are in Placerville CA for an intimate final show on this run at the Cosmic....

Look for blogs and status updates during the trip! And go to Brushwood Lounge to see the blogs and info and video of songs from the band last time we were up that way.

You can also see the beginnings of the Brushwood Lounge site that is in early development and sharing some really lovely artists with some interesting things in common... I get to be one of them. NICE.

I return to Austin to continue working on the record. I'll also be starting some residency shows at the Mucky Duck in Houston again for our PAY WHAT YOU CAN shows.
We will have the first Texas dates with my band on February 26th at Poor David's Pub in Dallas Texas AND February 27th for a rare appearance at the Saxon Pub in Austin Texas!!! We may debut some of the new songs live so stay tuned....

I am not playing a lot right now because I'm focusing on the record, but I couldn't say no to the exciting trip with Pride and I gotta play a little for fun! Come to the shows in February and  stay tuned this spring for some sneak peak listening opportunities to new tracks and such...
