Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Wilson.

Peter, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started my journey into the world of music at the age of 13. I needed an escape from the abusive household I was being raised in, and my guitar gave me just that! After teaching myself the basics, I fell in love with the art of music and started learning as much as I could! I taught myself how to sing and write my own songs. Which eventually lead me down the road of music production. Since then, I have had the honor of working with many professionals in the industry and continue to grow and develop myself as an Artist everyday!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t believe there is such a thing as a smooth road in life. We all have our struggles, whether we make them public or not. Just because someone looks like they’re gliding through life smoothly, doesn’t mean they’re okay on the inside. I’ve struggled a lot with depression over the years. I always felt as if it was my responsibility to make sure everyone around was okay, that I never took time to care for myself.

Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I don’t like to limit myself to just one thing. I believe that anyone can do anything they set their mind to! I love writing songs and performing. Although, if I had to give myself a title, I would call myself a producer. I love discovering songs as they come to life in the studio! There is no better feeling than facilitating the birth of a song! I always put a piece of myself into each song I write/produce.

My greatest achievement so far happened just last year when I was able to record one of my songs at Capitol Records in Hollywood! It was an experience I’ll never forget. My dream is to one day work for Capitol whether it be as an Artist or a Producer!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plan for the rest of this year is to push myself as hard as I can to grow and develop myself and my music. I’ll be releasing a new single every two weeks for the remainder of year. I will also be working closely with other local artists to produce music for them!
