"Satellite: A True Hip Hop Song That Paints A Picture"

Is real rap music dead? Well, you could be excused if you think it is, because it seems the whole rap game has been taken over by mumble rap and trap music and these acts are getting massive airplay. However, a few cats like J.Cole, Kendrick, Meek Mill and Rick Ross are still holding true hip hop torch and now we can add P.U.R.P who just proved he has got what it takes to hold it down with his new song Satellite.

P.U.R.P’s Satellite is laced with captivating and relatable lyrics that is placed on a melodious and laidback beat that will have you bumping your head slowly while taking in the lessons that is wrapped up in the lyrics. Satellite is a song that clearly shows P.U.R.P’S mindset as he looks to create his own space in the game while industry forces try to fit him in a box.

It is hard not to rap along with lyrics “I got all these stars shining around me, but they don’t see my light unless I fall where they can see”, saying that I’m in the same vicinity as people shining and living their best lives but nobody tends to notice mine unless I fail and fall on my face.” Because we can all relate to a situation like this and this is what music is all about, taking us to a place of reality where we can connect in more ways than one.

One thing that stands out from the get go is the storytelling and direction of the song that is done to perfection so you don’t get lost in any way as you can connect to message of the song. It is lonely at the top so a lot of factors would try to keep you down, so you have to rise above the norm and defy the odds. This is why Satellite is a song that is right in the nick of the time and will stand the test of time and trends

It is safe to say that Satellite needs a much better video although you can’t deny the fact that the current video drives the message home as he takes on a journey down to the studio and it is a breath of fresh air as there are no booty shaking vixens that have become a norm these days.

P.U.R.P’s Satellite is a groovy hip hop piece that will definitely be on replay when you have it on especially when you are driving because it paints a picture that will set you at ease and you don’t have to worry if you have got kids or grandma in the car because the lyrics are totally clean (this is so rare in most hip hop songs today). So do check out Satellite because it is in a class of it’s own and hip hop is definitely alive with acts like P.U.R.P so we gotta plugin and let the lyrics take you a place that you need to be.

P.U.R.P has shown that he has got what it takes to be in the game with Satellite so we will be keeping an eye out for him and so should you because he has got a story to tell and makes music that can connect to the minds of everyone.
