Rachel Williams

I'm currently 4 songs into the mixing process right now in the studio.  We've been holed up here for a couple days now, and will be a few more days this week until it's all tweaked and glorious!  Which, by the way...it IS going to be GLOOOORRRRIOUS!  I am so stinkin proud of these songs...this is my life, in every way.  Everything I've gone through in the last year and a half has been cut down to these 7 songs (trust me, that is quite a feat in itself, seeing as though I've written a bizillion songs in that time frame).  They are sounding so good---I'm ridiculously happy!  I hope you all dig it as much as me!

I can't really think or type very fast because "You Let Me" is blasting through the speakers at me.  No complaints though.

A few things I thought I'd share:
-I'm playing 3rd & Lindsley in TWO DAYS!  It'll hopefully be a triumphant return to that stage...I haven't played it in what seems like eternity and I'm so obsessed with that place!  So yay! I rarely do full band shows these days, so when I do...I get REALLY stoked!  So please come out and support me and watch me in all my "rockstar glory" and dance, dance, dance-- haha.  I'll be debuting new songs from the EP, and older ones from the past records.   You won't want to miss this party!  3rd & Lindsley this Wednesday, May 6th at 7PM.  Angela Engelman will follow at 8PM.  Two chicks, two back-to-back shows, TWO DOLLARS!

- The photos from a few weeks ago are sweeeet!  I'm pretty sure we've nailed down the album cover and the back side of the CD, as well as a headshot for CMA Fest!  Woop Woop!


-We've got a booth again this year all four days at the Convention Center during CMA Music Fest in June!  So now we're trying to design and plan for that...can't WAIT to see you all and have a new CD to share with you!  Keep checking the page for show information...right now we've got THREE during CMA Fest, ow ow!

-I'm super pumped to be performing at the Jo Dee Messina Music Row Road Race in less than 2 weeks...May 16th!  Hope it doesn't rain---Lord knows Nashville has seen enough in the last week!

-I saw the new Wolverine movie on Friday and actually REALLY liked it.  (I say this b/c I'm notorious for hating violence or scary stuff and usually stick solely to chick flicks/dramas.)  And, as of last night, I have successfully completed all the Star War movies for the first time.  I'm proud, really proud.

-My phone got stolen over the weekend.  Major suckage.  I only had it like 2 months.  This is so typical though...I manage to lose or break ALL electronics...however, I feel like getting it stolen is a whole nother mess.  Thank God I "splurged" on phone insurance this time around and am able to get a new one tomorrow for pretty cheap.

Okay, that's all I can share for now.  i'm losing my concentration, this music is so loud and rockin!  After this...I'm off to band rehearsel with the boys to prepare for Wednesday's big show!  (My ears are gonna be shot, ha) I really hope to see you all there...like, forreal.  ;)
